This project brings together work created during a two-month internship at Marico, spanning packaging design, illustration systems, and early-stage ideation. The experience offered insight into how large brands function, where creative outcomes are shaped as much by structure and feasibility as by design intent.
The work included packaging design for Parachute Advanced hair serums, some of which went on to be produced and are currently sold internationally. Alongside this were exploratory concepts for Saffola Honey pouches and Soya Bhurji packaging that remained unimplemented, reflecting the realities of corporate decision-making.
A key part of the internship involved developing an illustration system to explain hair damage and repair through a simple metaphor — treating hair like a house, where structure, protection, and maintenance determine long-term health. Built in collaboration with the R&D team, the system translated technical concepts into clear, accessible visual narratives, even though the larger product plan it supported did not move forward.
Overall, the experience reinforced my interest in using storytelling and visual systems to simplify complex ideas, while working within — and learning from — defined constraints.
